Julie Hafemeister - Fitness Center Coordinator
Julie expanded upon her interests in physical activity by completing the AAS Fitness Specialist degree at Lane Community College. Through this program she received hands-on training in the development of exercise programs for special populations including the elderly, wheelchair bound, obese, and those with various disabilities or injuries. Julie enjoys helping others improve their quality of life through health and fitness. She strives to educate others while helping them achieve their goals. She is currently ACSM Health/Fitness Instructor certified and continues to increase her skills through group exercise instruction. While participating in team sports and working out are high on her list of hobbies, Julie also enjoys playing various instruments, ballroom and salsa dancing, and studying foreign languages in her free time. She is currently pursuing her B.A. in Romance Languages from the University of Oregon.
Adam Roberts - Fitness Trainer, Youth Self Defense Coordinator/Instructor
Adam brings an extensive sports conditioning background to ESTC. His professional expertise in collegiate basketball and martial arts training have enhanced his training styles toward sport specific conditioning, injury prevention, and core training. His personal passions toward health and wellness place an emphasis on nutrition, providing his clients with a conditioning and wellness regimen to encourage a healthful lifestyle. Adam was a competitive basketball player for 15 years and has coached at the collegiate and high school levels for both male and female teams. This experience allowed him to develop conditioning and weight lifting routines for varied athletes. Adam's martial arts training has a special emphasis on training women and children practical self defense techniques. He volunteers his personal time to help at-risk youth develop self confidence through exercise and self defense training. Adam is truly passionate about helping others. He enjoys snowboarding, playing acoustic & electric guitar, and fishing.
Heike McNeil - Personal Trainer, Aquatics Instructor
Heike's Chemistry background influences her training style, providing a scientific and supportive approach toward helping her clients reach their goals. She teaches how the body gains muscle and loses fat while providing fun and effective fitness routines. The goal for her clients is to instill dedication to a lifestyle that includes exercise discipline, personal responsibility, and balanced nutrition which leads to personal well-being and improved fitness and/or performance. Heike is the Head Coach of the cross country running team at Northwest Christian College and also teaches chemistry, nutrition, and exercise classes. She has an extensive history of sports training for her personal endeavors including: triathlons, marathons, ultra marathons, water polo, soccer, skiing, rock climbing, backpacking, and mountain biking. She currently participates in a local running club and many local races where you may see her coming in first across the finish line.
