Mitch Adler - Director of Tennis
A former Eastern Tennis Association ranked junior, Mitch has been a 7-time USTA zonal coach, working with some of the best juniors in the country. Mitch has also captained 3 USTA adult teams to national championships. He is a 2 time USPTA Professional of the Year being awarded the 1999 Allen Henry Southern Professional of the Year Award; an award he won in a USTA section that includes 9 states and more than 1800 tennis professionals and the 2001 USPTA Mid Atlantic Professional of the Year, an award that covers the very competitive tennis markets of Washington DC and Baltimore. "I love working with all levels of players of all ages and abilities."
David Chun - Head Tennis Professional
David Chun is a USPTA Pro 1 certified tennis teaching professional who has enjoyed the game of tennis as both a teacher/coach and as a player for over 25 years. David loves teaching and coaching both adults and juniors with either recreational or competitive goals-- both singles and doubles. David enjoys playing in leagues and Pacific Northwest tournaments, as well as coaching competitive players and teams. During the last 10 years, David has been very active and involved in many aspects of the Eugene tennis community, supporting the U of O Men's and Women's Tennis programs, and is currently Vice President of the Emerald Empire Tennis Association. David finds Nick Bollettieri's developmental tennis teaching curriculum to be very useful with junior players, and is currently developing his own manual to be published for tennis teachers and coaches. David is one of the first 50 individuals to be certified by legendary strength and conditioning coach Pat Etcheberry, and is Eugene Swim and Tennis Club's Head Tennis Professional.
Darryl Wisner - Head Tennis Professional
For more then 24 years Darryl Wisner has been teaching tennis to players of all ages and abilities. Darryl received his undergraduate degree from the University of Oregon in Private and Commercial Recreation. He is a long time United States Professional Tennis Association member. Darryl spent many years as the Director of Tennis at both the Eugene Family YMCA and Willow Creek Sports Club in Eugene, Oregon.
For twelve years Darryl was the Boy's Tennis Coach at South Eugene High School accumulating an impressive duel match record of 150 wins and less than 10 losses, in addition his teams and players won ten District titles, four State Championships and multiple state singles and doubles titles. During this time Darryl was awarded High School Coach of the year by the United States Professional Tennis Association for the Pacific Northwest. He is a member of the Wilson Advisory Staff
Darryl is fascinated by the learning process. Rather then using the classic system of "tips" and "techniques" Darryl strives to create a learning environment that cultivates the discovery and development of awareness and self-coaching, allowing players to discover the joy of learning and of finding their potential.
Lisa Kempton - Tennis Professional
Lisa is a USPTA tennis professional with 13 years teaching and racquet stringing experience. She has been fortunate to experience tennis in many different aspects, from directing Parks and Recreation programs, community clubs, private clubs, to even corporate facilities. She has been a High School Coach, a Head Tennis Professional, a USTA Verifier, a Club Manager, and was a coordinator for the 2006 Davis Cup Semi-final match in Rancho Mirage, CA. She started her teaching career at the Yakima Tennis Club in Washington State and went on to teach in Denver, Colorado at the Evergreen Fitness and Tennis Club as well as the Colorado Athletic Club Monaco. She returned to the Pacific Northwest to teach at the Seattle Tennis Club, before moving to Southern California to teach at the Indian Wells Tennis Garden (home of the former Pacific Life Open), where she was also a USTA Junior League Coordinator, USTA Tennis Service Representative and NJTL coordinator for the greater Palm Springs, CA area.
